The comic I made for Polly Guo’s Fall 2024 Comics Intensive! The title is a four-way pun: “divert” referring to the twist near the end, the word “divert” on its own being one letter removed from “diver”, “divert” being a navigation command a seafaring vessel might receive if there’s obstacles in its path, and the combination of “dive” and “invert” that refers to the story itself. Maybe the last point is just an extension of the first one…

Sounded perfect for original characters I made based on the game Bloodborne, so I turned it into a conversation between an incense maker and the hunter that keeps showing up at her house asking for potions and tonics.
